The SupportCandy Usergroup feature is designed to organize and manage different types of users (support agents, customers, and admins) by grouping them into various user groups. This allows for better control over access, permissions, and ticket management, enabling you to tailor the experience for different types of users in your support system.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC):
You can assign specific roles or permissions to each SupportCandy – Usergroup. For example, some user groups may only have access to view certain tickets, while others may be able to respond, close, or delete tickets.
Assign Tickets to Specific User Groups:
Tickets can be assigned to specific user groups. For example, you might have a Billing usergroup for agents who handle billing issues, or a Technical Support group for agents who deal with product-related problems.
Access to Knowledgebase and FAQs:
You can control which user groups have access to view and manage specific knowledgebase articles or FAQs. For example, the admins might be the only group that can create and edit knowledgebase articles, while customers can only view them.
Restrict Ticket Viewing and Editing:
Usergroups can be restricted to view only certain tickets or only tickets that belong to their assigned department. For example, a Shipping usergroup may only be able to view tickets related to order fulfillment, while a General Support group may handle a wider range of customer issues.
Custom Permissions and Notifications:
SupportCandy lets you set up custom permissions for each group. For example, you can decide which usergroup has the ability to assign tickets, close tickets, reply to tickets, or even edit customer information. This ensures that your team can operate efficiently without overstepping their boundaries.
