Options for Adding a Timer to SupportCandy

1. Built-In Timer Feature in SupportCandy (Pro Version)

SupportCandy – Timer Pro doesn’t have a built-in timer feature by default, but there are ways to add simple time tracking to your support tickets using some customization or third-party solutions.

2. Using Custom Fields for Time Tracking

One simple way to manually track time spent on a ticket is by adding SupportCandy – Timer to the SupportCandy tickets where agents can log their start and end times.

Add Custom Time Fields: You can add two custom fields to the ticket — Start Time and End Time. Agents can then enter the time when they begin working on the ticket and when they resolve it.
Calculating Time: If you want to automate the time calculation (i.e., subtract the start time from the end time), you’ll need to write a custom plugin or use custom code to do this.

Show Fields in Ticket: Use the ACF functions to display these fields on the ticket view in SupportCandy – Timer.
Calculate Time: You can add a simple PHP script to calculate the difference between the start and end times and display the total time spent on a ticket.
